The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, located in the southwest of the German federal state of Lower Saxony, was established in 1973. Currently 12,512 students are studying at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck who are supported by 300 professors and 760 employees. The university offers a variety of degrees including Bachelors, Masters and an MBA in a total of 99 subjects that are divided into four different faculties. Studying at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck is characterized by an efficient organization of the studies as well as an accompanying integration of internships to guarantee practical training. In order to provide excellent, work-related and hands-on training the university offers 60 laboratories. Additionally, there is a tight collaboration with local companies to ensure an emphasis on application-oriented research. The EuroLean+ research group of the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck is located within the Institute of Management and Technology at the Faculty of Management, Communication and Technology at Lingen (Ems). The research group has had several researchers (professor), PhD students as well as bachelor and master students working in the areas of LEAN and Supply Chain Management. The Institute of Management and Technology has amongst its core competence areas the supply chain management, lean management, business process management and in particular cross-company value optimization. The research team has performed a variety of industrial and research projects on these topics.”
