Learning Lean in the Digital Era
17th June 2021 @ 15:30 - 17:00 CESTFree
In this masterclass, Dr. Daryl Powell will explain and illustrate the ‘Blended Network Action Learning’ (BNAL) methodology as a useful and useable means of combining Lean and Industry 4.0 in practice. BNAL has been developed in action – based on practical experiences from working with continuous improvement at Kongsberg Maritime Subsea and its strategic supplier network in Norway. He will also make clear how the BNAL methodology presents Operations Managers of the future with an organizational learning form that benefits from a virtual edge – particular given current travel restrictions and social distancing measures due to Covid-19.
Subsequently, Mitchell van Roij and Melanie de Vries (researchers at the HAN) will present a study of five Lean 4.0 projects in manufacturing companies from which they illustrate the importance of the BNAL methodology and the shortcomings in industry. There will be sufficient time for discussion. Active participation in the masterclass will be greatly appreciated.
