Associate professor Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

Marco Semini has been associate professor at NTNU since 2017. Previously, he worked as a research scientist at SINTEF Technology and Society, later also at NTNU. He has a master degree in mathematics from the university of Lausanne, Switzerland, and a PhD in production management from NTNU. Marco Semini carries out research and education in manufacturing logistics, supply chain management, and manufacturing strategy. He has had key roles in a range of applied R&D projects in various manufacturing industries. He is main author or co-author of several publications in international journals as well numerous papers in conference proceedings. He is supervisor or co-supervisor of several PhD candidates and has also supervised numerous master students.
