Hans-Henrik Hvolby has since 2012 held a 20% professor position at NTNU. He is professor of Supply Chain Planning and Integration at Aalborg University and has been directly involved in raising national end European research funding to a value of 6,6 million € and has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers in academic journals and conferences, supervised 14 Ph.D. students and reviewed 17 Ph.D. projects as well as conducted 5 international research application review assignments. He has been lead organiser of more than 50 industrial and research seminars, amongst others the MITIP and SMESME conferences. He is a visiting professor at the University of Tasmania and has previously had a visiting professorship at University of South Australia. He sits in the editorial board member of 4 international journals and the programme committee of 3 international organisations. He has supervised more than 90 student projects (most on master level) and lectured in areas as logistics, production planning and control, ERP and APS systems, shop floor control, simulation, manufacturing information systems and business intelligence.
